Starting and ending

Starting your trip

Open the MyWheels app and start the trip as soon you are standing next to the car.

The car will open automatically, followed by a window of 15 seconds for you to actually open the car.
Weren't able to open the car? Then you can open the car through the MyWheels app.

Is the car charging?

First, end the charging session before departure:

  1. Take the charging card/charging key out of the glove compartment.

  2. Scan the charging card at the charging station.

  3. Disconnect the charging cable from the charging station and the car.

  4. Place the charging cable back in the trunk.

  5. Put the charging card/charging key back in the glove compartment.

**Have a seat! **
The car will indicate, on the display behind the steering wheel, that you should press the brake and then press the start/stop button. This button is located behind the steering wheel on the right.
Do this, and the car will start and show the basic driving information.

Does the car not start due to a missing key? Press the central lock button located to the right of the warning light button.

When you're ready to depart, you need to push or pull the lever to select the desired gear. Always keep the normal foot brake depressed while using the gear lever.

The positions are:

P = park
R = reverse
N = neutral
D = drive
B = drive (+high regenerative braking)

The lights left of the gear will light up and will be shown on the drive-information screen behind the steering wheel. The 'P' and 'B' are push buttons. The other gears can be selected by using the lever.
Note: As soon as you release the brake in position D(B) or R, the car will begin to move.

Have a nice trip!

You can see on the display how many kilometers’ worth of battery. Remember that the actual distance may be shorter than shown. This depends on such aspects as the way the car is driven, the use of heating or air conditioning, and weather conditions.

It's our belief that we can keep the Netherlands on the move with just one million cars. We can do our bit by promoting the use of shared cars. Because the more cars we share, the fewer cars we need to own. If there’s always a shared car just around the corner, you can go wherever you want, whenever you want. MyWheels. Only benefits.
