Before you book, you’ll always see the total price of your trip upfront in the app. Once your reservation is confirmed, that price is fixed. So you know exactly what you’ll pay, with no surprises.

How much does MyWheels cost?
At MyWheels, you only pay when you use a car. The costs consist of an hourly rate and a price per kilometer. These rates differ per car class. You always see the current price in advance in the app, so you know exactly what to expect.
Is MyWheels cheaper than owning a car?
For many people, yes. With MyWheels, you don’t pay for purchase, insurance, maintenance, or fixed parking costs. You only pay when you actually need a car. If you don’t use a car every day, it’s worth checking whether MyWheels is the more affordable option for you.
Does MyWheels offer subscriptions?
Yes. MyWheels offers subscriptions that give you a discount on every trip. You can change or cancel your subscription on a monthly basis. View the available subscriptions here.
How do I pay for a trip?
After your trip, the amount is automatically charged via iDEAL or credit card. You don’t need to pay upfront.
Can the price change after I’ve made a booking?
No. Once you’ve booked, the trip price is fixed and will not change. No surprises whatsoever.
Why does MyWheels use Smart Pricing?
With Smart Pricing, we reward users who drive outside peak hours. This helps us use our shared cars as efficiently as possible: enabling as many people as possible to drive with as few cars as possible. That’s better for everyone.
How does Smart Pricing work?
The price of your trip depends on when you drive. During off-peak hours, the hourly rate is lower. During peak hours, a surcharge may apply. Any discount or surcharge is automatically applied during booking—you don’t have to do anything. You can find more information about Smart Pricing here.
I don’t see Smart Pricing in my app yet. Why is that?
We are rolling out Smart Pricing gradually, so it may not yet be available for your account. It’s also possible that you need to update your app. With the latest app version, you’ll always have access to the newest features. Would you like early access to Smart Pricing? How do I know if I’m choosing a good moment to drive?
You’ll always see the total price of your trip in advance in the app. This price is already adjusted to the time you plan to drive.
