How do I create a business account?
You’ll receive an invitation email from your employer.
Click the “Create Account” button in the email and choose a password — your account is now set up!
Then:
- Download the MyWheels app;
- Select Log in, and enter your business email address and chosen password;
- Verify your driver’s license in the app;
- Done! Your business subscription is automatically linked to your account.
After that, you can immediately reserve and drive a car through your organization. 🚙
Can I also use my MyWheels account for private trips?
Yes! In the MyWheels app, you can choose per trip whether you’re driving for business or personal use. The costs are automatically charged to the correct account.
When you log in with your business email address, your account is set to your employer by default. When booking a car, you can easily switch to a private trip if you prefer.
As an employee, you’ll see two options in the MyWheels app:
- Private – you pay for the trip yourself
- Business – the trip is billed to your organization
You can switch between accounts easily when making a reservation in the app. To drive with your private account, you first need to confirm your payment method. You do this after choosing a car and starting your reservation.
When can I start driving after being invited by my employer?
Once you’ve created your account, you can start driving almost immediately. We just need to verify your driver’s license to make sure everything is correct — this usually takes only a few minutes.
As soon as your license is approved, you can immediately reserve and start driving.
How does payment work?
- Business trips For business trips, the invoice is automatically sent to your employer. Before reserving a car in the app, make sure that your business subscription is selected.
- Private trips Private trips are paid from your own account. When you create a business account, you’ll also automatically receive a free MyWheels private account. Before you can make a private trip, you’ll need to verify your personal bank account in the app. You can switch from your business to your private account when reserving a car — by default, the subscription is set to business.
Why do I need to verify my driver’s license?
We check your license to make sure you’re authorized to drive our shared cars. After this one-time verification, you can start making reservations right away.
MyWheels uses Onfido to verify your driver’s license. This process uses automated verification technology to check the document’s validity. The exchange of data between Onfido and MyWheels fully complies with GDPR regulations.
The security and confidentiality of your data are, of course, guaranteed by our Privacy Policy.
Can I use MyWheels with a non-Dutch driver’s license?
- Drivers with a valid license Everyone who uses a MyWheels car must hold a valid driver’s license for passenger cars. You must always carry your license while driving.
- Foreign driver’s licenses are accepted You can also drive a MyWheels car with a valid foreign driver’s license. Just make sure your license is legible and complies with Dutch traffic regulations.
I don’t see the business contract in my account — how can I fix this?
The administrator of your company account can easily give you access to the business contract. They simply need to log in to the company account at mywheels.nl and go to ‘Account & Settings’.
