Starting your trip
Open the MyWheels app and start the trip as soon you are standing next to the car.
The car will open automatically, followed by a window of 15 seconds for you to actually open the car.
Weren't able to open the car? Then you can open the car through the MyWheels app.
Is the car charging?
First, end the charging session before departure:
Take the charging card/charging key out of the glove compartment.
Scan the charging card at the charging station.
Disconnect the charging cable from the charging station and the car.
Place the charging cable back in the trunk.
Put the charging card/charging key back in the glove compartment.
The MG4 has no start/stop button and turns on by sitting on the driver's seat.
Have a seat in the driver's seat and depress the brake pedal.
In the driver's seat, there is a sensor that ensures the car turns on automatically.
By pressing the foot brake, you 'confirm' your presence as the driver.
The car's display turns on. You will see first an MG logo, followed by the standard driving information being displayed. You will see 'Ready' on the screen (as you press the brake pedal at the same time).
If the gear knob does not respond, depress the brake pedal again
When ready to depart, turn the gear knob to the desired gear, keeping the foot brake depressed as you do so.
The positions are:
P = park
R = reverse
N = neutral
D = drive
The light will glow up for the gear you have selected.
As soon as you release the brake in position D or R, the car will begin to move.
Have a nice trip!
You can see on the display how many kilometers’ worth of battery. Remember that the actual distance may be shorter than shown. This depends on such aspects as the way the car is driven, the use of heating or air conditioning, and weather conditions.
